A lazy Sunday, a suburban backyard in Stockholm. A young kid probed the dirt with a stick, picked a handful of flowering weeds from the lawn, and dreamed of becoming an archaeologist or a florist. That kid was me. Today, I am neither dusting dinosaur bones nor arranging bouquets, but how could I be disappointed? As a landscape architect I get to dig into the layered histories of landscapes and places that surround us, and contribute to environments where both people and plants can flourish.
I was drawn to landscape architecture by its integration of natural science, social dynamics and art. It resonates with my analytical side, my interest in people and urban life, and my aptitude for expressing myself in image and text. I hold a bachelor’s and a master’s degree in landscape architecture from the Swedish University of Agricultural Sciences. During my years as a student I have aspired to explore different facets of the field, and hone my skills in a range of contexts. Multiple internships, exchange studies, theoretical deep dives, design experiments, hands-on park maintenance work, and non-profit engagements have made me humble before the great diversity and complexity of the discipline. But they have also given me new eyes on the world, and a solid conviction that landscape architects can bring positive change to our environments, societies, and lives. This site displays a range of my projects and ideas, reflecting my interests in landscape architecture theory, urban design, and communication.
